Von Maur was closed, of course. Their outside white lights were on, but the store was completely dark inside.
On the steps outside, the pile of flowers, candles and wishes of peace, in the falling snow was sad.
Sadly, Omaha -- 'somewhere in middle-America' somehow became just like everywhere else on Wednesday. That doesn't mean we have to like it.
