red necked cat...

So, New Kitty wears a red collar.

Apparently it is a cheap red collar.

Overnight she got it wet and the red dye gave her a red neck.

Do y'all have any thought as to how to clean her up?

Too funny!!

If she sheds like my cats, you won't have to wait too long for it to go away...

You may be able to speed things up if you take off the collar (soak it in a pail or something to get the excess dye out, in the meanwhile), and then use a damp towel on your cat's neck area (you could use some gentle soap, but I wouldn't count on a lot of patience from most cats). Tell the cat it's a stress massage or something?

she's kind of a pale pink today... so I'm guessing it will go away sooner or later.

I like the idea of soaking the collar so the excess dye comes out. I want to put it back on her, as it has a bell and I like to be able to hear her coming.
