Where's that comb....

My hair has always been thick and curly... unruly even.

I've never even found combs or brushes useful -- I use my fingers and a bit of product -- and I'm done.

until today -- the shedding has accelerated -- it tickles, itches and my scalp is kind of irritated feeling.

I had a feeling that it would be more comfortable if I could comb it out -- like I do the cats :).

So -- hubby went to CVS to buy me a comb and a brush --

turns out, I was right. The hair is really coming out now, but at least I can contain parts of it in the trash -- sigh.

It will be quite a while until it comes back --- hello hats!

Hats are among my favorite accessory (although I don't wear them often enough). Do you have ideas about hats? Any particular kind you wish to wear?

I have a pretty large head -- so I've never been into hats. So far it is a baseball cap and a couple of floppy hats hubby ordered on-line. I need to find some scarves or something... but I was kind of in denial about it actually coming out, so I don't have any quite yet.

What kind of scarves? (Style, color, size -- long or square)

sounds like you're doing pretty well this week.

I'm really open on the scarf question -- since I don't wear them, I can be pretty flexible :). My one concern is that it be soft -- and washable -- so cotton is better than anything else. I'm a very casual dresser -- and my favorite shoes are birkenstocks :) -- so I'm not all that interested in fashion :).

If you ever wanted a stick straight bob, this is a good time to buy one!

Or you could freak out your students and get a beautiful, elaborate henna tattoo. :)

I saw lots of gorgeous scarves on sale this weekend at the mall. Summer scarves were very big down here, and now the stores are clearing that inventory.

Hrm. I have ideas (and a huge scarf collection that never gets touched plus). Email me your address, although I probably can't do anything for 2 weeks, until I get home again post-wedding.
