I have to say, I love, love, love, love finals week.
No joke -- the campus is active, but not crowded.
The students are generally pretty focused.
The freaks hanging out in the common area are subdued -- because they are looking at books not a) playing D & D, b) playing music, c) playing hackey-sack, d) wrestling e) jousting f) making out...
There is a light at the end of the grading tunnel.

Concerning gaming, I prefer to play the games sparingly and not in general public locations. Since most role-playing games are highly time consuming with long sessions, I just don't enjoy feeling like I'm either wasting my time or hogging up space for other "loungers" who simply need to sit down for a couple of minutes and unload.
Anyway, I'm glad you're enjoying finals week!
